Great big fancy World of Warcraft fanart commission. A lovely Blood Elf "family" of sorts, on a usual morning. Cleaning weapons, looking suspicious, all that jazz.

Check out my Tumblr for the whole work in process! [link]

Anytime. I love how you include alot of detail into the picture I can stare at the picture for a long time and notice new things. Great job. :)

I absolutely adore this! I love the various piercings, especially the corset! Very well done! I also can't help but notice how the woman is smugly looking towards the viewer, while the men seem to be... er... preoccupied with another sight.

Really like this. Awesome scene concept and the details are amazing! Great colour and shading too.

I feel bad saying this, but I personally feel the girl's face looks a little manly. I hope you can forgive me for making such a blunt comment on such a great piece of work but I believe it's important for artists to get accurate feedback on how people feel about their images.

Also, whats up with the girls chest armour? It looks like she has a corsett on, but just the strings, which looks a little weird stiching into herself. I'd love to see a real corsett on her, even if it's a small one.

Lastly, I really don't like smoking, so I feel that lets things down too.

I sincerely hope that my comments aren't offensive to you, and please don't misunderstand, I do really like this artwork.

Heh, thanks, and no problem on the feedback. It's not the first time I've heard that about my women's faces! I have redone faces over and over again trying to get them out of that rut but its something I need to take some time to work on. At the same time, I think natural women are more "manly" than a lot of the super-feminine images we see, and I try to stick to the visual truth as much as possible. It's a fine line between beauty and truth, I guess, that I am working on navigating successfully.

The girl isn't wearing anything on top; the lacing is a corset piercing, so those rings go right into her skin. That was the client's vision and I did my best to interpret it from the photo references she sent me. Likewise, the character in the back is a smoker and the cigarette is part of his character. Nothing I can do about those!

Thanks for your comments and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah very valid point about beauty/realism. The way I viewed that is, Belf girls/women are "meant" to be stunning. ;) It's part of their character. But I guess it's down to the client's preference as to how they want to see their character represented.

I didn't realise the corset is a piercing, looking at it now it's really well done and makes sense.
